Privacy Policy

RecallWatch does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to read recall content. We collect only:

• Standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the pages you request. These are used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic understanding.
• Theme preference — a local setting (light/dark) stored in your browser. It never leaves your device.

We do not knowingly collect health information, and you should never send us personal medical details.

We use a single browser storage value to remember your light/dark theme. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.

Recall content is sourced from the U.S. FDA’s public openFDA API. We rely on infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and content delivery) that process request data solely to operate the service. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.

Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operations, then rotated or deleted. Recall records are public FDA data and are retained as part of the archive.

Depending on your location (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we hold almost no personal data, such requests are usually limited to server logs. Contact us to make a request.

RecallWatch is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
